After several years of input from members and exhibitors, NADAC has announced the decision to lower the height of the A-frame and make the removal of slats from all contact equipment mandatory within the next year. The height of the A-frame will be 5' (five feet) at the apex with the new change.
These two changes are allowed at any trial immediately. It is recommended that clubs use these changes in their forthcoming trials by April 1, 2004 and it is required that the changes be used at any trials after August 1, 2004.
NADAC will be formalizing the NADAC Hall of Fame starting in 2004. All dogs which have been the Top Overall Dog each year will be inducted , as will all dogs which have earned a NATCH in all three divisions (Standard, Veterans, Jr. Handler), any dog which has earned NATCHes in two divisions (Standard, Veterans, or Jr. Handlers) with a minimum of five NATCHes total, or any dog which has earned a Superior Performance Versatility NATCH. Any dog which has earned a Triple Triple Versatility or a Triple Triple will also be honored. Exhibitors who have dogs that have met these requirements are requested to send a photo to NADAC to be added to the web page.
The 2003 NADAC Championships were a huge success!!! The Championships took place at the world renowned Spruce Meadows equestrian facility in Calgary, Alberta. The weather was perfect, the site was astounding, and the exhibitors came together to exhibit some of the most exciting runs ever exhibited in this sport!!!! Full coverage of the event will be sent to all members with the December NADAC News.
Congratulations to everyone and the best of runs to all in 2004!!!!
